Happy Easter!

"Do not abandon yourselves to dispair.
We are an Easter people and hallelujah is our song."
~ Pope John Paul II

Every year, I send out Easter cards to help share the joy in the
celebration of Easter.
This year this is what our friends will be receiving...

...and some will be receiving this one...

Missing you...

I purchased the stamp set Metropolis from Paper Smooches a few months ago,
and wanted to do something fun with it.
So this is what I created....

In this card the gray cityscape "pops out" in front of the buildings behind it.

I decided to use glossy accents in the windows of the building as well.....

It gives it a nice affect, don't ya think?

The paper airplane I decided to highlight with a copic marker too...
just for fun.  Enjoy!

...and thanks for visiting!

A Neat little gadget...

Ok, I may be late to the party on this one....but I discovered a neat little gadget that I absolutely love in my crafting.  What is it you say?  Tweezers!

How do I use this nifty little thing?

~ I love using this tool for precisely putting small stamped images on my cards.
~ For removing the backs off of 3D foam adhesive.
~ To precisely put small twinkle stickers, pearls, buttons, etc on my cards.
~ To grab the corner of papers while I put glue on them, before placement on my card.  (it prevents the glue from getting on my fingers, or smearing the image that has been stamped and colored.
~ To clamp down the center of ribbon/twine after it has been tied in a know, so that I can create a bow with the remaining ends.
Yeah...it is a cool little gadget.

...and I just wanted you to know about it....it will make crafting so much easier.  And a lot more fun!

Birthday Gal...

Sometimes it is nice to keep it simple.
You don't need lots of layers...
nor lots of embellishments to make it a cute card.
Simple can really be quite effective.
Look at what I created today....

I made this card using a stamp set with matching die from Hero Arts
and I absolutely loved the result.
Hope you do too!

Have a great day!  Flower for You Smiley
