Trees...

There are so many new images with A Muse Studio that I just love. And one of my absolute favorites is this tree.

I dunno, but there is just something about it that makes me smile.

Maybe it reminds me of the trees that were around our house when I was growing up in Iowa....or maybe it is the fact that it is just such a simple image that you can do so much with. But regardless, it always inspires me to do something fun.

Isn't that what paper crafting is all about? Making something that makes you smile?

Have a blessed Holy Week...

Easter Treats

This past weekend I decided to send out Easter treat bags to family. I had found these long forgotten Martha Stewart boxes in my crafting closet, and decided that they would be a great container for some treats.

I stamped each of these bags with my stamps, and then filled each with Easter grass and candy. Because these boxes are going to be mailed, and I didn't want the contents to fall out in transit, so I put each bag into a cellophane bag and tied each with a ribbon.

Guess the Easter bunny will be visiting a few houses huh?

I'm Addicted

Yes, I admit it. I am definitely addicted to the A Muse Studio dies. They are the coolest things ever....and I am so glad that I purchased them. I never used dies much before. I was always a punch girl, and thought that their ease and convenience was the best way to go. But not anymore.....

As you can see I was creating cards today, and used my new egg & grass dies. They are soooo easy to use, and I love how my eggs and grass just "pop" off the card.

Did you also notice that little bit of washi tape? I tell ya, the stuff is the bestest...

Happy Dance

Washi Tape

Last year I discovered something amazing. It was washi tape. I love to read various stamping sites and blogs to get inspiration, and one site used this medium on various cards and I was intrigued. So I did some searching on the internet, and found a few sources where you could purchase it, and decided to give it a try.

Oh. My. Goodness.

This tape is the coolest stuff ever!

Yep, I would definitely give it a thumbs up!

You don't have to be particularly talented or creative to use it either. (which is what I like....wink) because it just adds that splash of color, or pattern to a card to give you the visual interest you are looking for.

What I particularly love, is that you can peel the tape off easily to reposition it in case you don't like where you placed it the first time. Which I have to admit, happens to me a lot.

Let's face it, making a card or making a scrapbook page sometimes involves trial and error. You need to play around with elements to achieve the affect you are looking for. And with washi tape you can do this, without tearing your paper, or adding more adhesive. I think you will love it too!

Let's Blog Hop!

It's time for the A Muse Studio Blog Hop!

If you are participating in the blog hop, you should have come from Regina's blog, which is: Studio Unforgettable

...and if not, then I recommend that you start from the beginning with Samantha Kania's blog, Kania's A Muse Studio

Many of us are having prizes....I know I am!

Just be sure to comment on this post, and I will contact you if you are the winner. The contents of my prize package are in a previous post. (see below)

Here is my card to share. As you can see I took out my new Big Shot cutting tool, and used my Labels One dies. It is a very simple card, cause you all know I am a simple gal....but I thought it needed that extra bit of "bling", and a little bit of texture to make the card more interesting. So I added the twinkle stickers, and if you look closely you will see the scoring within the onyx strip of paper. Nifty huh? Sometimes the simple things can make a great impact on a card.

The next blog on your journey is that of Amber Smith, you are going to The Neatery

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Please come back soon!
